The climbing starts in Algarrobo Costa, dont worry, after just 2 kilometres the road gets much quieter.

Down and back up

A stunning descent from Competa down towards Torrox Pueblo, followed by a sharp upward climb.

About the ride

Follow the coastal road from Nerja to Algarrobo before tackling the ascent to Cómpeta. Sweep downhill to Torrox, then climb to Frigiliana for the final descent into Nerja.

A demanding circuit featuring mountain panoramas, charming Andalusian villages and rewarding descents.

This is a challenging route for recreational cyclists, with sustained climbing and fast descents in places.

Tip Just above the village of Cómpeta, La Venta de Palma is a popular roadside bar where cyclists stop for breakfast or coffee.
