From Maro village the road is rolling for the next 10 kilometres.

Cerro Gordo

Just before the tunnel turn right to Cerro Gordo. Amazing views towards Nerja and over La Herradura.

About the ride

Head east from Nerja past Maro village, following rolling coastal roads to La Herradura before retracing your route with sweeping Mediterranean views.

The coast from Maro to La Herradurra is a protected marine park so look out for Dolphins from the high road

Before you set off

This is a rolling road with short climbs and descents. Usually the road is very quiet however in July and August can become busier with people heading to the beautiful beaches.

This is a incredible route and one of the easiest in the area however a reasonable level of fitness is still required.

If you want to go through the tunnel front and back lights are required.
